A Journey Inward: From Escaping to Vision and Expression
Change is the only constant in life, and it’s a lesson I’ve come to embrace.
When I began my travels in 2021, my focus was on escaping—seeking freedom and trying to see as much as possible. Those early times were full of movement and discovery, and they laid an important foundation for what followed. But at the same time, they distracted me from taking a deeper look at myself, my life, and my future. I was creating another beautiful prison for myself.
Over time, though, my journey began to shift. It became less about the places I was visiting and more about the person I was becoming. I realized that I’m neither a van-lifer, despite living in a van, nor a travel photographer, despite taking photos while I travel. And most recently, I learned that writing in hindsight about past experiences—especially travel—keeps me from being fully present in the moment, which also explains the long pause since my last blog.
While traveling continues to inspire me, documenting travel experiences isn’t where my heart lies. Instead, I want to pour my heart and soul into my personal and artistic vision—creating work that deeply reflects my values, emotions, and journey, while nurturing my dream of inspiring other artists on a similar path.
The following Haiku was inspired by the reflective and introspective nature of my journey and the way it slowly changed me.
Old rocks wear golden leaves
White horses ride the sea—
Change whispers to me…
Now I find myself in a new chapter—one that feels more introspective and grounded. Through my travels, I’ve learned so much about myself—about my values, my creative instincts, and what truly brings meaning to my life. These experiences have broadened and deepened my creative vision at the same time.
My art, whether photography, painting, or poetry, has become a way to express my deepest values—authenticity, balance, connection, and space. And each creation feels like a deep and honest reflection of who I am and what I seek to share with the world.
In my paintings—like these recent experiments—I often explore the concept of space and contrast: light and dark, stillness and movement, clarity and mystery. Each piece becomes a quiet reflection of what I’ve discovered about myself along the way.
But the shift isn’t just about refining my creative focus—it’s about aligning my work with a clearer sense of purpose. And I want my blog to reflect this evolution by centering it around my artistic journey and introspections, sharing photos, paintings, and poems that form the core of my creative identity. While my primary focus will be on my artistic work, I’ll occasionally incorporate travel photos when they tie directly to my creative process or personal reflections.
For those who enjoy seeing my travel photography, I will share current stories but also memories of the last years on my Social Media, where they fit more naturally as part of my broader journey.
Going forward, I plan to upload blog posts once or twice a month. My goal is to share thoughtful reflections, creative insights, and meaningful stories that align with my personal and artistic vision.
This is an invitation to join me as I move forward with a clearer vision and a renewed focus on the beauty of the present moment. Thank you for being here and for supporting this journey.
I’d love to hear—what experiences or moments have helped you find clarity in your own life?
Let’s continue this journey of exploration together.
